  History Today, a refereed journal of History and Culture Society, published annually since 2000 in print format. History Today welcomes/addresses/includes research papers on social, economic, religious and political issues ranging from Ancient to Medieval and Modern periods. It also addresses notes and news and a brief report of the activities of contemporary historical issues and guidelines for future research in history and historical archaeology.
  
  Aims and Scope
  
  The History Today covers all the aspects of historical studies and historical archaeology including conservation of Indian heritage (tangible and intangible) with an endeavour to provide a forum to historians and scholars to express their pragmatic views and observations freely and fearlessly, and to promote the work of young researchers of the field. We also intend to promote interdisciplinary studies in the field of Indian history and culture and to provide a common platform for scholars engaged in the study of history, historical archaeology, social studies, philosophy, linguistics and other allied disciplines which directly or indirectly deal with the Indian history and culture.
  
  Peer Review Statement
  
  All submitted articles are subjected to peer review system. Therefore, all submissions will be independently and confidentially refereed by the concerned experts. Therefore, scholars/researchers are requested to submit their articles/manuscripts in advance for screening by the experts.
  
  Ethics and Publication Policy of the Journal
  
  The publication of the journal History Today is dedicated to create a forum for interdisciplinary dialogues as well as to discuss the recent advancements in the historical studies. Therefore, we welcome the submission of articles which maintained originality and highest ethical standard. All submissions for the journal are subjected to peer reviewed by independent anonymous experts of the concerned subject. The editor, after the initial evaluation, also obtains the advice of the journal’s Editorial Board, which consists of eminent scholars of concerned subject, in order to maintain excellence in publication.
  
  Authors are strongly suggested to ensure that their article should not be under consideration for publication in any other journal. If authors decide to send or publish their paper in any other journal should inform to the editor of the journal and can withdraw their articles. Authors are also encouraged to ensure the inclusion of the name of other contributors/co-authors in the articles (in the right order based on their contributions in the article) and mention the names of financial supporters, institutions while giving the acknowledgments.
