of Experts
The Heritage Helpmates has a panel of experts from various
disciplines of Indian history, culture and archaeology, preservation,
conservation of historical buildings, cities and antiquities
and primary research in archaeological remains as well as
museology, and heritage management and tourism. Though the
panel is exhaustive, only a few names are given below:

Of Monuments
M.N. Deshpande:
Shri Deshpande is a well known Buddhist and Jain scholar and
a reputed conservator of archaeological monuments of 35 years
of standing. The Gol Gumbad of Bijapur, Rock-cut Caves of
Ajanta, Ellora, Elephanta and other Western Indian sites are
everlasting testimony to his highly skilled specialisation
in conservation.
Y.D. Sharma:
Dr. Sharma is a well-known structural conservator. He conserved
the Delhi and Agra monuments, such as the Qutab Minar, Sultan
Garhi, Humayun's Tomb, Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, etc. He has 30
years of experience.
R. Viswanathan: Formerly Director(Conservation), Archaeological
Survey of India, Shri Viswanathan has conserved historic buildings
in Gujrat, UP and Delhi for 30 years.
N.L. Batra: Former Superintending Archaeological Engineer,
ASI, Shri Batra has established archaeological parks in Madhya
Pradesh and Delhi. He has also authored a book on conservation
of monuments and heritage areas.
H.L. Raina: Shri Raina has been Assistant Superintending
Archaeological Engineer, ASI, for more than 20 years and is
a well known conservator. he is an expert in preparation of
estimate and cost analysis.
D.I. Kishnani: For about 25 years
Shri Kishnani has conserved many monuments in Gujrat and Rajasthan
and ankor Vat temple in Kampuchea.
B.L. Kaul: Formerly Dy. Superintending
Horticulturist, ASI, Shri Kaul restored fountains in medieval
gardens of Taj, Ram Bagh, Deegh, Red Fort, etc. He also carried
out landscaping around the Qutab Complex, and monuments in
Jammu & Kashmir. He has established several heritage areas
and parks.
G.M. Jain: Former Archaeological
Engineer, govt. of Gujarat, Shri Jain is a highly experienced
structural conservator in the country. He conserved more than
one hundred monuments, including temples at Badi, Bijoli,
and Mandor in Rajasthan, palaces, fort-walls, baolis, etc.
in Gujrat. |
