Preservation
of antiquarian Remains
B.N. Tandon: Shri Tandon is an
expert in building materials, archaeological sciences and
a specialist in the preservation of buildings suffering from
chemical, physical and biological causes of deterioration.
He worked for 30 years at the Taj, Jagannath temple and several
other monuments in India & abroad besides the National
Museum.
A.S. Bisht: Former Head of the Conservation Laboratory,
National Museum, New Delhi. Shri Bisht is widely known for
his expertise in conserving stone, metal and organic objects
as well as wall paintings on cloth, paper and leather.
Art,
Architecture & Township
Krishna Deva: Formerly
a Fellow of the American Institute of Indian Studies, Varanasi,
Shri Deva is the most distinguished authority on temple art
and architecture. His outstanding works are on Khajuraho and
encyclopedia of temple architecture.
W.H. Siddique:
Director, Raza Library, Rampur, Dr. Siddique specialises in
mediaeval art and architecture. He has made an extensive survey
of historical buildings and monuments in India.
D.P. Kambo:
Prof. Kambo, formerly teaching at the school of Planning and
Architecture, New Delhi, has planned conservation of several
historical towns like Orchha in Madhya Pradesh and old parts
of Delhi. He is the General Secretary of the Indian Heritage
Society and a member of the panel of experts of the Heritage
Foundation of the Delhi Development Authority.

Display and Architecture
Samita Baxi: Visiting
Professor in museology at the National Museum Institute, New
Delhi, Smt. Baxi is a specialist in museum architecture and
management including display, lighting and architectural designing.
She has been the Director, Crafts Museum, New Delhi for more
than 10 years and Keeper(Display) for 20 years in the National
Museum.
Sadashiv Gorakshkar:
Dr. Gorakshkar is an authority on Indian bronzes, paintings,
decorative arts and sculptures, besides being leading museologist.
He was Director, Prince of Wales Museum, Bombay.
S.P. Gupta:
Chairman, Indian Archaeological Society, Dr. Gupta is an authority
on India's art and architecture, museology, and prehistoric
and protohistoric archaeology. He has made a film on the Indus
Civilization. He is a Visiting Professor at the National Museum
Institute of History of Art. |
