Ethics and Publication Policy

 

The Journal of Indian Ocean Archaeology is committed to publishing the best quality researches in the history and archaeology of the Indian Ocean world. The publication policy follows the broad editorial approach. Whichever way we may like to look at the problems of Indian history and archaeology, there is absolutely no escape from the fact that they cannot be solved in isolation. We have to take into account the data from all Indian Ocean countries. And that too not only of material items but also of ecological and environmental changes. For example, monsoon, botanical remains, zoological history, dispersals of animals and cereals, and so many others related subjects. There are, therefore, many possibilities in Indian Ocean Archaeology and this effort of ours made at this point of time may one day prove to be a turning point in the history of archaeology in India as well as other Indian Ocean countries.
